Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join our team at the Air National Guard Units. As an Aircraft Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on complex military aircraft, ensuring they are airworthy and ready for operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee the maintenance effort on assigned aircraft, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on aircraft systems, including engines, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify work meets quality standards.
  • Develop and conduct training programs for technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in readiness evaluations, inspections, and other exercises to ensure the unit is prepared for deployment.

Requirements:

  • Experience in aircraft maintenance, preferably with a military background.
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems, including engines, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

Aircraft Mechanics work in a fast-paced environment, often in inclement weather conditions. They may be exposed to hazardous materials, loud noises, and extreme temperatures.
