Job Summary

Carpenters at J & J Worldwide Services are responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials. This role requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work at heights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute carpentry projects from blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions.
  • Install and repair shelving, cabinetry, walls, floors, doors, and other woodwork.
  • Use a variety of tools and techniques, including carpentry, masonry, and roofing methods.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of assigned spaces.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in carpentry, including rough-in and finish carpentry, roofing, and masonry.
  • Working knowledge of structural characteristics and properties of materials.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop, and kneel for short periods.
  • Pass a local background check and obtain NAC/LAC clearance after hire.
