Fabrication Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team at CSRA FLEETCARE INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and fabricating mechanical parts, pieces, and products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create equipment and products.
• Utilize handheld tools such as a hand-held screw gun, drill gun, and grinders.
• Operate calipers, weld gauges, tape measures, and other welding hand tools.
• Maintain weld machines using preventative maintenance methods.
• Continually evaluate weld machine performance and technology to improve cycle time.
• Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
• Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
• Rework and/or repair welded parts and products according to engineering specification changes.
• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
• Prioritize work flow through effective communication with management staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Qualification Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years welding experience preferred.
• Basic computer navigation and utilization skills preferred.
• Specific technical or vocational training or certification preferred.
• Work in a team environment and respect all teammates.
• Carpentry skills a plus.

Physical Demands and Abilities:

• Regularly lift 30-50 pounds.
• Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
• Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.
• Ability to operate a fork-lift and an overhead crane.
