Position Summary:
Children's Therapy Center is looking for a dedicated Pediatric Physical Therapist to be part of our Early Support for Infants & Toddlers (ESIT) Team. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in early childhood development, with a strong emphasis on sensory integration and play-based therapeutic approaches. Certification in Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) is considered advantageous. We seek a passionate professional committed to empowering children with special needs and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage as a vital member of a multidisciplinary team to perform family-centered, strengths-based screenings, evaluations, and ongoing assessments to guide eligibility decisions and contribute to comprehensive evaluation reports.
  • Educate parents and caregivers about the diverse aspects of child development, considering individual, cultural, and community variations.
  • Provide culturally relevant support to caregivers in home settings, natural environments, or through telehealth, employing a coaching model that fosters health, well-being, and holistic child development.
  • Assist caregivers in establishing culturally relevant routines that promote the health and development of the child.
  • Collaborate with families to create and implement the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) that nurtures healthy identities across racial, cultural, gender, socio-economic, and disability dimensions.
  • Build strong relationships with caregivers and work in partnership with community members and the multidisciplinary ESIT team to address family needs.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, staffing, in-services, and peer coaching/consultation as part of the ESIT team.
  • Demonstrate the ability to integrate and adapt to cultural, racial, linguistic, ethnic, and socio-economic diversity in daily practices by collaborating with families to incorporate and honor their languages and traditions.
  • Encourage and promote healthy relationships between caregivers and children by fostering nurturing attachments and interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with Children's Therapy Center's policies and procedures, as well as IDEA Part B & C's requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of or eligibility for a PT license in the State of Washington.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate thoughts and ideas effectively through various mediums.
  • Strong listening abilities, capable of recognizing and appreciating diverse perspectives.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, adept at managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Proactive in anticipating challenges and adaptable to change.
  • Collaborative team player, valuing diverse perspectives to support organizational goals.
  • Commitment to inclusivity, valuing and engaging with diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities, considering relevant details and input from all stakeholders.

  • Ability to order orthotics, assistive devices, and adaptive equipment as needed.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Outlook.
  • Valid Washington State driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Work Schedule:
This position is full-time, requiring in-person engagement.

Compensation and Benefits:
Children's Therapy Center offers competitive compensation based on experience and education, with a pay range of $37.98-$57.50 per hour. Our comprehensive benefits package includes generous paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and continuing education opportunities. Eligible employees can enroll in our retirement plan from their first paycheck, with company contributions available after one year of employment.
