Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Applications Engineer I to join our team at Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing technical support for all applications encompassing metrology, demonstration, functionality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct hardware and software product demonstrations to showcase technical features and processes to prospective and existing customers.
  • Effectively communicate product benefits for complex applications and provide recommendations to customers.
  • Prepare operating instructions and conduct training programs to meet customers' needs.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships through effective interaction and provide technical support.
  • Develop programs/applications that effectively accomplish customer specifications/objectives.
  • Consult with customers and incorporate needs and feedback into application designs.
  • Provide technical support to customers and ensure programs/applications work properly after maintenance and testing.
  • Analyze and edit existing programs/applications as needed to optimize performance.
  • Take a challenging issue from problem statement through to resolution and follow-up.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in application engineering and new technologies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and marketing groups on product development projects.
  • Learn from and study experienced Applications Engineers' techniques and work.
  • Remain current with skills by attending training classes, independent research, and seminars as needed.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable speaking before small groups.
  • Proficient with MS Office.
  • Strong Customer Service Skills.
  • Creative, analytical, and driven.
  • Works under close direction as well as in a team environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 0-2 years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or similar environment.
Work Environment

The employee will work in a primarily office setting with occasional visits to the factory floor. The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted, and ventilated. The office noise levels are considered low to moderate, and the factory noise levels are considered moderate. If required, PPE will be provided. May require travel up to 70%.
