About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at the Vincent Smith School. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal growth of our students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group speech and language therapy services to students in grades 1-12
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Participate in Child Study Team (CST) meetings and contribute to the development of student goals and objectives
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure seamless support for students
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in speech and language therapy and incorporate evidence-based strategies into your practice
Requirements
  • New York State Speech/Language Pathologist certification
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in an independent school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
