Job Summary:

The Distribution Center Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the distribution center, ensuring efficient and effective management of warehouse and transportation activities. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members to achieve goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate warehouse and transportation activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
  • Supervise and train warehouse and transportation staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity in the distribution center.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication across the organization.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role in a warehouse or transportation environment.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Knowledge of warehouse and transportation operations, including inventory management and transportation logistics.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment, with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other environmental factors.
  • May be required to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • May be required to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
