Job Title: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

Position Overview:

Summit Medical Management, LLC is dedicated to assisting individuals suffering from persistent spinal discomfort. We are in search of a committed Advanced Practice Provider to become a vital member of our Spine Care team. This role involves managing independent clinics for neurosurgical patients and providing surgical assistance as required. In this capacity, you will deliver exceptional, patient-focused care, working in close collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal health results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough health evaluations, including comprehensive medical history assessments, physical examinations, and analysis of diagnostic tests.
  • Formulate and execute personalized treatment strategies based on patient requirements, evidence-based methodologies, and clinical protocols.
  • Prescribe medications, therapies, and treatments within the scope of practice and in compliance with state regulations.
  • Perform minor medical procedures and interventions, such as wound management, suturing, and administering injections.
  • Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, medication management, and self-care techniques.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to streamline patient care, facilitate referrals, and ensure continuity of treatment.
  • Accurately document patient interactions in electronic medical records, adhering to regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives, research endeavors, and professional development activities to enhance clinical practice and patient outcomes.
  • Stay updated on advancements in nursing practice, pharmacology, and healthcare technology through continuous education and training.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in Kansas, or eligibility for licensure.
  • Graduation from a nationally accredited Nurse Practitioner program and board certification (e.g., AANP or ANCC).
  • Strong dedication to patient advocacy, quality healthcare, and effective communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in spine care or surgical settings
  • Prior experience in a medical office environment

Working Environment:

This role operates in diverse settings, including medical offices, clinical rehabilitation areas, acute care facilities, and outdoor environments, with potential for off-site work and travel. There may be exposure to hazardous materials, blood, and bodily fluids. The position involves constant interaction with colleagues, patients, vendors, and the general public, which may include individuals who are distressed or unwell.

Physical Demands:

This position is primarily active, requiring walking, bending, stooping, crawling, squatting, and lifting up to 75 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds. It may involve prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Candidates must possess visual acuity and manual dexterity to operate computers and other facility systems, as well as auditory acuity to effectively communicate with patients and the public.

The schedule is flexible and based on departmental needs.
