Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement embedded systems using FPGAs or SoCs, from architecture to delivery
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
  • Collaborate with program leadership to plan and execute engineering projects
  • Grow the team by supporting organizational hiring processes
  • Contribute to business development goals and initiatives
  • Propose and implement ideas to improve organizational quality, agility, or capability
  • Perform necessary reporting, approvals, and administrative tasks
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET-accredited institution with a 3.0 or higher GPA
  • 4+ years of experience in embedded system design and test, or 2+ years with a Master's degree
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience leading teams of developers
  • Proven experience with programming and/or hardware description languages such as C, C++, VHDL, Verilog, assembly
  • Experience with common communication protocols such as UART, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, CAN bus, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative engineering environment with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Residency in the North Alabama area or willingness to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET-accredited university
  • Experience with personnel management, Agile Scrum methods, process improvement initiatives, project management, and business development activities
