Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Reliability Technician to join our team at Idaho Milk Products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of processing equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform repairs or coordinate with external service providers as necessary.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and minimize repair costs.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to identify areas for improvement in equipment efficiency and reliability.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment modifications, and repair histories.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring it meets reliability and performance standards.
  • Stay current with the latest maintenance technologies and practices relevant to the dairy processing industry.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures at all times.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance within a food processing or manufacturing environment; experience in dairy processing is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and process control systems relevant to milk processing.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Availability to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Working Conditions:

  • The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.
  • Subject to extreme heat: Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than two hours occasionally.
  • There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout to be heard above the ambient noise level.
