Job Summary:
San Bernardino Community College District is seeking part-time, hourly adjunct professors to teach engineering courses at our two college campuses. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in engineering or a related field, or a bachelor's degree in engineering and a master's degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, chemistry, or geology.
Responsibilities:
Teach engineering courses at the college level, including lectures, discussions, and laboratory sessions. Develop and implement course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments. Evaluate student performance and provide feedback. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
Qualifications:
A master's degree in engineering or a related field, or a bachelor's degree in engineering and a master's degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, chemistry, or geology. Experience teaching engineering courses at the college level is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Applicants must be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with students, colleagues, and administrators. A background check and fingerprinting may be required.
