We are currently experiencing significant growth at Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC, and are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Construction Observer to join our team. This role is crucial for the successful execution of municipal and state transportation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough construction observation for various municipal and state transportation projects.
  • Manage and coordinate contracted services, including surveying and material testing.
  • Document and ensure compliance with project specifications, including daily logs, quantities, and submittals.
  • Effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and property owners regarding project scope, timelines, and any related issues.
  • Collaborate with utility companies to align roadway design project plans.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in construction observation or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in municipal construction projects, such as storm/sanitary sewer, watermain, paving, and grading.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Completion of Iowa DOT certifications (PCC1, PCC2, Aggregate Tech, HMA Sampler).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
