The responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative may vary based on the department supported.

Departmental Areas:
The Customer Service Representative may work in various departments, including Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, Fashion Plumbing, Outlet, Tool Rental, Pro, or Windows & Walls.

Applicants for this position may be considered for any of these areas based on hiring needs and individual skill sets.


Travel Requirements:

This position does not necessitate regular travel; however, occasional travel may be required for meetings, training sessions, or to assist nearby stores.

Qualifications:

  • Availability for hourly full-time or part-time schedules, typically ranging from 39 to 40 hours or up to 25 hours per week, respectively; additional hours may be necessary based on store demands.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, and evenings any day of the week.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks that may involve prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities essential to job duties.
  • For those assigned to Greeter departments, the ability to lift a minimum of 10 pounds without assistance is required; for all other departments, the ability to lift at least 25 pounds without assistance is necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months of experience using computers for data entry, access, modification, or output.
  • 6 months of experience with common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
  • Ability to obtain any necessary sales-related licensure or registration as required by law.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6 months of sales experience in identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits.
  • 6 months of retail experience providing customer service, including resolving customer issues, assisting in product location, greeting customers, answering phones, building customer relationships, and expressing gratitude for their business.
  • Bi-lingual skills, if applicable to the store.
  • Certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials).

Compensation:
