ROLE OF STAFF ACCOUNTANT
The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in executing all accounting functions. Key responsibilities include establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures; overseeing the preparation and evaluation of financial operating reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis; and presenting findings and recommendations to Senior Management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage in month-end closing activities, including the preparation and review of journal entries and budget-to-actual reports.
- Prepare and review monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts, ensuring that general ledger accounts are reconciled with resolution to any discrepancies.
- Assist the General Manager with weekly forecasting updates.
- Review accounts receivable balances and perform collections as necessary.
- Prepare daily cash deposits and coordinate with armored car services.
- Reconcile general ledgers, post journal entries, and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts and balance sheets.
- Prepare audit schedules and file sales/use tax forms in multi-state environments.
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty at the highest level. The following qualifications are required:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting or Finance.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks, ensuring accurate and complete completion of assignments.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A strong team player committed to meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics AX is required.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
