Job Summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a highly skilled Plasma Center Nurse to join our team. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors. Your primary responsibility will be to determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, and review laboratory test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine donor eligibility accurately and in a timely manner, including proper management of informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self-exclusion.
  • Manage donor deferral, reviewing test results and notifying donors of unsuitable test results.
  • Initiate and investigate Post Donation Information (PDI).
  • Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, problem-solving, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues.
  • Conduct pre-placement evaluation of new hires, including assessment of medical history questionnaire.
Requirements
  • Currently licensed or certified in the state where duties will be assigned: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA).
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification required.
  • Fulfillment of state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy.
  • Able to satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly wage range: $33.08 - $45.48.
  • U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term incentives, medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and company match.
  • U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive up to 80 hours of sick time and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
