Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough manual and automated security assessments, including compliance with industry standards for iOS and Android applications.
  • Perform in-depth security evaluations and penetration tests, which encompass mobile application binary analysis, source code examination, and SDK scrutiny.
  • Analyze the application sandbox environment to identify privilege escalation vulnerabilities on both iOS and Android platforms.
  • Engage in the mobile application development lifecycle, ensuring that security requirements are integrated and verified effectively.
  • Detect hardcoded credentials, insecure data storage practices, and vulnerabilities in data handling within mobile features.
  • Identify outdated or insecure algorithms utilized in both third-party and proprietary libraries.
  • Generate detailed reports and actionable recommendations to bolster the security framework of mobile applications.
  • Utilize the Mobile Security Testing Guide to inform testing strategies for both iOS and Android applications.
  • Participate in security-focused projects, technical design evaluations, and code reviews.
  • Recognize and address the use of deprecated mobile components and insecure programming practices.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in conducting security assessments on mobile applications.
  • Strong grasp of security testing frameworks applicable to mobile platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of secure coding practices across various programming languages.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with mobile operating system security internals and reverse engineering techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with security testing tools and methodologies.
  • Understanding of software development processes and cloud security considerations.
  • Experience with mobile application CI/CD practices.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong foundation in security engineering principles and practices.
