Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement cohesive deployment automation tools and scripts for ExtremeCloud services across Public, Private, and Edge Cloud environments.
  • Automate infrastructure service provisioning in cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.
  • Promote DevOps best practices, optimize CI/CD workflows, and enhance deployment efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain effective CI and CD pipelines for application and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with application teams to integrate deployment automation into their CI/CD environments and ensure feature-level verification.
  • Engage in cloud security and compliance initiatives.
  • Advocate for security best practices and incorporate security scans into the CI/CD processes.
  • Automate monitoring and logging configurations as part of the deployment automation strategy.
  • Stay current with DevOps best practices, processes, and standards.
  • Utilize CI and CD tools, and source control systems such as GIT, Jenkins, Docker, Artifactory, Perforce, and SVN.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required; a background in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a CloudOps or DevOps role.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or other public cloud services (Azure, GCP, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Linux, security, and networking fundamentals.
  • Working knowledge of container-based architectures and deployment (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience in deployment automation development (Argo Workflows, Terraform, Helm, Ansible).
  • Proficiency with monitoring tools (Nagios, Kibana, Prometheus).
  • Experience in cloud security and compliance is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated initiative and follow-through to resolve issues effectively.
  • Comfortable collaborating within a distributed team across multiple time zones.
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in Python, are a plus.
  • Familiarity with systems such as JIRA, Confluence, qTest, Coverity, and Black Duck is beneficial.
