Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team at O'Fallon Township High School. As a Speech and Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in secondary school students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students' needs and goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate speech and language goals into students' educational programs
- Monitor students' progress and adjust intervention strategies as necessary to facilitate improvement
- Participate in IEP meetings to contribute expertise regarding speech and language goals and accommodations
- Provide support and training to teachers and staff on strategies to promote language development and communication skills in the classroom
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, progress reports, and treatment plans in accordance with school and regulatory requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active Illinois Professional Educator's Licensure for SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues
- Familiarity with the IEP process and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies for a wide range of speech and language disorders
- Organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate documentation and tracking student progress
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advances in the field
- Dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for students with diverse communication needs
