Program planning offers a unique perspective on the complexities involved in helicopter production.

In this role, the selected candidate will gain valuable insights into helicopter manufacturing through collaboration with various departments including Finance, Contracts, Proposals, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Supportability.

Ideal candidates will possess planning experience and the ability to quickly provide scheduling analytics and expertise to the program team.

This position supports a classified program.


As a Senior Integrated Program Planner, you will collaborate within a cross-functional team, engaging with business units to deliver timely solutions to our clients.

You will interact with program management, finance, customers, functional leads, and control account managers (CAMs). This role offers significant exposure within the aerospace sector and opportunities for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, input, analyze, and report status progress accurately and promptly.
  • Ensure that Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) are interconnected to facilitate Critical Path analysis and reconciliation.
  • Contribute to the completion of detailed weekly/monthly analyses for major program events.
  • Assist in evaluating key intermediate milestones to provide updates to the Integrated Master Plan (IMP).
  • Coordinate with major suppliers to gather and deliver current schedule information.
  • Manage schedule baseline control and assist in variance analysis on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Support proposal generation, costing, and integration of cost and schedule management.
  • Conduct required schedule assessments utilizing Risk Management tools.
  • Prepare and present briefing materials to management and clients in a professional manner.
Basic Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI clearance required.
  • Knowledge of Program Performance Management, EVMS experience, and implementation of integrated cost & scheduling tools.
  • Experience presenting various report types to senior management (IMPR/IPMDAR experience).
  • Strong organizational, planning, management, problem-solving, and execution skills applicable to multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to thrive in a classified, fast-paced environment while managing complex issues and meeting deadlines.
  • Extensive experience in developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with Open Plan.
  • Ability to consolidate detailed schedule data into management-level reports.
  • Experience with baselining.
  • Knowledge of program start-up processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills (V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, etc.).
  • Integration of cost and schedule concerning EVMS.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and a willingness to assume additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Experience with DCMA surveillance.
Security Clearance Statement: This position necessitates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. citizens for consideration.

Work Environment:

This position is full-time and will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule: Lockheed Martin offers various alternate work schedules to provide flexibility for our employees. Schedules may range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week to condensed options, allowing for additional time away from the office in addition to our Paid Time Off benefits.

The annual base salary range for this position varies based on location and experience. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as the scope of responsibilities, candidate experience, education, and market considerations when extending an offer.
