Stationary Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Stationary Engineer to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our building and grounds, as well as the operation and maintenance of our mechanical systems.

• Maintenance and repair of building and grounds, including fixed and portable equipment
• Operation and maintenance of mechanical systems, including air-conditioning, refrigeration, and heating control systems
• Performing general maintenance and repair tasks, as well as plant operation and maintenance
• Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical systems
• Ensuring compliance with uniform electrical and building codes

• Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma
• HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
• EPA universal CFC certification within 90 days
• 2 years recent relevant experience
• Computer skills and building automation systems experience required
• Accuracy, attention to detail, ability to organize/prioritize work
• Employee must be able to read, write, and speak the English Language

• Advanced knowledge of electrical theory and procedures for repairing and maintaining the system
• Advanced knowledge of air-conditioning, refrigeration, and heating control systems, including air balance and system calibration procedures for repair and maintenance
• Advanced knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and procedures for repair and maintenance
• Advanced knowledge of procedures, materials, and tools used in commercial building remodels and cabinet construction
• Advanced knowledge of uniform electrical and building codes
• Considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the building and mechanical trades
• Through knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials used in the building trades

Pay Range: $50.35 to $57.89 per hour. Compensation takes into account several factors, including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, and certifications, department equity, training, and organizational needs.
