Christus Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients.

Job Summary

This Nuclear Medicine Technologist position requires a graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent with 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and be able to administer radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed by physicians.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic medical imaging procedures utilizing radiopharmaceutical and medical imaging equipment.
  • Coordinate and prepare radiopharmaceuticals for administration.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed by physicians.
  • Document calibrations, flood films, dose calibrator accuracy checks, hot lab area surveys, dispensed pharmaceuticals, and radioactive source disposal.
  • Practice safe handling of radio nuclides and radiation safety procedures.
  • Perform periodic quality control tests.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting required.
  • Current State Licensure required.
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist registration from ARRT or NMTCB required.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
