Key Responsibilities:

The Clinical Nurse Leader will:

  • Deliver advanced nursing care to patients within a surgical environment, specializing in one or more surgical areas under the guidance of a surgeon.
  • Execute complex and standardized patient care procedures that necessitate specialized training and experience, which are typically performed by a physician but do not fall under the practice of medicine.
  • Coordinate, direct, and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Manage both pre-operative and post-operative patients in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify potential complex patient issues related to surgical procedures while effectively communicating with attending physicians.
  • Provide medical recommendations and facilitate referrals as necessary.
  • Educate patients regarding medical processes, medication management, nutrition, health promotion, and post-surgical care.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's degree in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner or a Master's degree in Nursing with completion of a post-master's Nurse Practitioner Certification Program.
