Position Overview:
The Clinical Nurse Educator plays a pivotal role in providing leadership, clinical expertise, and educational support to elevate clinical standards within our organization. This position is essential for driving program development and offering consultation aimed at achieving clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize advanced problem-solving techniques and the nursing process to enhance patient outcomes and meet program objectives.
- Foster effective communication to build strong collaborative relationships with management and healthcare teams.
- Work alongside leadership to establish patient care criteria, assess patient health needs, and evaluate nursing interventions for optimal outcomes.
- Serve as a clinical expert, guiding the development, implementation, and assessment of patient care and organizational goals.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of educational initiatives and leverage findings for future program enhancements.
- Collaborate with staff to design and assess educational programs tailored to nursing staff's needs.
- Coordinate the orientation process for new nursing personnel.
- Provide educational opportunities that cater to nurses at various stages of their careers.
- Deliver competency-based training programs focused on skill enhancement and knowledge retention.
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts RN Licensure.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred.
- Recent experience in hospital education and training is advantageous.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position, 40 hours per week, with a flexible day/evening schedule and no weekend shifts required.
