Unlocking Social Change Through Research

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join our team at the University of New Hampshire's Carsey School of Public Policy. As a key member of our applied social policy research team, you will play a crucial role in conducting and translating research that informs policy, practice, and philanthropy for local, state, and national impact.

Your primary responsibilities will include supporting planning, data collection, data analysis, and knowledge translation activities related to social service program evaluation. You will also assist with team grant writing and reporting activities, as well as perform related duties as assigned.

In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including evaluating novel programs that support disadvantaged families' wellbeing through improved social, developmental, and economic outcomes. You will be involved in the data collection, management, and analysis processes of these evaluation activities, with opportunities to see the real-time impact of your work via ongoing collaboration with partner organizations and families.

To succeed in this position, you will need strong data management and documentation skills, as well as some statistical or coding skills (Stata preferred, but SPSS, R, Python, or SAS ok too). Experience working with and writing for a policy audience and presenting data in non-academic formats is also highly desirable.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, retirement, tuition, and paid time off. Salary is estimated to be around $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. If you are passionate about making a positive impact through research and policy, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
