About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Tandym Group in Nassau County. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our organization's mission.

Responsibilities
  • Provide general nursing care to patients, including administering prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Assist with applicant screening, selection, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Prepare equipment and aid the Physician during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
  • Prepare prescriptions or medication refills for review and signature by the provider.
  • Contact patients with test results and provide recommendations on cases per Physician determination and/or standards of care.
  • Facilitate clinical messages and chronic condition management education to patients.
  • Triage urgent same-day or double-booked appointment requests.
  • Document progress notes in the electronic health record within 24 hours.
  • Manage in-basket requests and respond to all requests in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • 1+ year of related nursing experience in Ambulatory and/or Hospital settings.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Gastro/GI experience or experience in an Operating Room, PACU, and/or Medical-Surgical setting.
  • Knowledge of Medical Chart Reporting.
  • Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills.
  • Patient-oriented.
  • Great interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Highly organized.
Desired Skills
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Experience in a Cardiology and/or similar setting.
  • Working knowledge of Epic EMRs.
