Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified EMT Instructor to join our team at the State of South Carolina. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and training to students in the field of Emergency Medical Technology (EMT).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive EMT curriculum to meet state and national standards
  • Provide instruction and guidance to students through various delivery methods, including lectures and lab sessions
  • Maintain accurate student records and meet reporting deadlines
  • Participate in practical testing for EMS certification levels and maintain current provider certification and instructor credentials
Requirements
  • Current SC DHEC and NREMT certified Paramedic with two years of field experience or higher
  • Certified CPR instructor with AHA or ASHI
  • Minimum of one year of teaching experience
  • Successful completion and documentation of 40-hour Instructor Methodology course equivalent and DHEC EMT Instructor Orientation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher
  • Greater than two years of experience in the field
  • Greater than one year of teaching experience in BLS, EMR, ACLS, PALS
