Parks and Recreation Attendant

Are you looking for a fun and exciting part-time job in the City of Manassas, VA? We have immediate openings for Recreation Attendants to work in the Division of Parks Culture and Recreation.

The Recreation Attendant is responsible for admissions, event/program set up and break down, and carrying out plans and activities for parks and recreation programs and events. This position interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals, including Parks, Culture & Recreation Staff, patrons, program participants, contracted staff, sport officials, Safety Officer, and the public.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing attendant responsibilities at parks and facilities
• Monitoring the use of equipment and facilities
• Maintaining and preparing equipment and facilities for ongoing programs, athletics, and events
• Interacting and communicating with various groups and individuals

Requirements

• A combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities in customer service environments and/or recreation programs
• Must be at least 15 years old by the time of hire
• Exhibit strong communication skills, the ability to follow instructions, and have a flexible schedule
