PostgreSQL Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join our team at Diverse Lynx LLC. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale PostgreSQL databases in AWS RDS environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement high-performance PostgreSQL databases in AWS RDS environments
• Develop and maintain database coding practices that form an architectural foundation
• Implement effective database security policies and user authentication mechanisms
• Manage database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrading
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database solutions meet business requirements

Requirements:

• 10-12 years of experience in managing Postgres databases (EDB Eco system)
• 5 years of experience in cloud-based databases, preferably AWS, with expertise in RDS services
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, and database administration
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting for extended periods of time
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse
• Physically able to participate and lead training sessions, presentations, and meetings

Educational Background:

• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
