Join Our Team as an Accountant
We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to contribute to a nonprofit organization.
Position Overview:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, in-office with potential for hybrid work after training.
- Salary: $58,800 - $68,068 annually.
- Employment Type: Direct Hire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute month-end closing entries and conduct thorough analyses, ensuring timely monthly closes in accordance with GAAP and Governmental Fund Accounting standards.
- Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Conduct reconciliations of revenue and expenses for various programs and grants.
- Generate monthly financial reports for senior management using PeopleSoft nVision report generator.
- Perform variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and prior year figures.
- Maintain and update FTE and cost pool allocation tables.
- Prepare routine expense and profitability schedules for directors and program managers.
- Assist in the budget preparation process, including salary detail schedules and budget worksheets for management.
- Import monthly financial reports through the AccuFund system and other funding sources.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and supplemental schedules for audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
- Proficient in automated accounting systems.
- Experience with PeopleSoft and Intacct is advantageous.
- Strong Excel skills along with basic knowledge of other MS Office applications.
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
