This role involves fieldwork with access to a company vehicle, requiring frequent travel within your designated area. Our workload is assessed collectively, which may necessitate covering assignments beyond your usual territory. Occasional office reporting may also be required.
Applicants must be residents of New York state.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, prepare estimates, assess total loss evaluations, and establish clear expectations and timelines
- Negotiate repair processes with automotive body shops
- Accurately document claim-related information and make decisions in line with claims standards and applicable laws
- Evaluate and manage claim payments and resolve claims without payments
- Review and assess the validity of any supplemental requests
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience, including at least one year in appraisal/estimatics or insurance
- {OR} An Associate's degree coupled with a minimum of three years of relevant experience, including one year in appraisal/estimatics or insurance
- {OR} A Bachelor's degree with at least one year of experience in appraisal/estimatics or insurance
- A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and adherence to Progressive's driving standards and policies
- Annual salary range of $76,000-$92,900
- Gainshare bonus potential of up to 16% of eligible earnings based on company performance
