The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive medical care to diverse patient populations. Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in consultations with physicians to develop, assess, and adjust treatment strategies.
  • Conduct thorough neurological evaluations, including patient histories and physical assessments.
  • Create and execute individualized treatment plans for patients experiencing neurological disorders such as migraines, neuropathy, and dizziness.
  • Assist in specialized procedures, including lumbar punctures and nerve conduction studies.
  • Perform certain medical procedures autonomously, adhering to state and institutional regulations.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to review complex cases and formulate holistic care plans.
  • Document comprehensive health histories and physical examinations accurately.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests tailored to the specific needs of patients.
  • Prescribe both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions as appropriate.
  • Implement strategies to help patients achieve or maintain physiological stability.
  • Facilitate patient transitions across various healthcare settings.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure appropriate referrals and care continuity.
  • Provide educational resources to support decision-making for patients and families.
  • Adhere to institutional policies and safeguard organizational resources.

Qualifications:
Education:
Master's degree in a relevant healthcare field.

Licensing:
Valid APRN License in the State of Florida.
Certification as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from recognized credentialing organizations.

Experience:
A minimum of 2 years in a relevant clinical setting, preferably within neurology.

Skills and Attributes:
  • Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in task completion.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
