Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Teller to join our team at First Savings Bank of Hegewisch. As a Teller, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt and professional service to customers, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Process transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and cash advances, while maintaining accurate records and balancing daily transactions.
  • Assist customers with opening and closing accounts, as well as making changes to existing accounts.
  • Operate online teller terminal, providing customers with information about their account status and assisting with transactions.
  • Perform related clerical duties, such as maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and assisting with administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
  • Basic understanding of banking operations and policies.
  • Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment, including adding machine, typewriter, copy machine, coin and money counting machines, and telephone.
  • Good communication and math skills.
  • Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, working in a fast-paced banking environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to changing priorities.
