Your Opportunity + Impact
This role will coordinate overall design activities, project submission schedules, and be responsible for Quality Assurance and Quality Control duties to ensure final products meet technical requirements and client goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review design computations, plan designs, and drawings.
- Review submittals and coordinate project submissions.
- Prepare and review specifications, draft letters, and written technical reports.
- Complete inspections and field work assignments as needed.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of work and project records.
- Possess knowledge of Codes and Standards applicable to project designs.
- Develop technically accurate, clean, and deliverable drawings.
- Promote and support quality assurance and quality control processes to improve quality and reduce design errors.
- Work within assigned budgets.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant engineering field from an ABET-accredited school.
- A minimum of 5 years' job-related experience, preferably with PennDOT or Pennsylvania Turnpike bridge design experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Strong knowledge of transportation bridge projects and AASHTO and PennDOT Design Manuals, Standards, Specifications, Engineering Software, and Microstation.
- Ability to prepare bridge design, bridge construction plans, and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microstation, Open Roads, InRoads, and other related software programs.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, and organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
