About the Role:
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer Intern to join our team at Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company. As a Quality Assurance Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for assisting in the completion of Non-Conformance Reports, performing product inspections, and participating in Quality Clinic activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in completing Non-Conformance Reports to support the Materials Review Board initiative.
- Learn to perform product inspections and understand part drawing requirements to ensure compliance.
- Participate in Quality Clinic activities to diagnose and help mitigate non-conformities using RCCA methodology.
- Support quality escape management, root cause analysis, and contribute to corrective/preventive actions.
- Help analyze quality data and contribute to continuous improvement and mistake-proofing initiatives.
- Assist with internal, customer, and third-party audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
What You Will Learn:
- Hands-on experience with advanced quality management techniques in a production environment.
- Collaboration within cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements.
- Understanding of industry standards, including AS9100 and AS9102.
- Application of RCCA methodology and lean principles in a real-world setting.
- Enhanced skills in SAP and MS Office Suite for data analysis and reporting.
Requirements:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with AS9100 (QMS) and AS9102 (FAI) processes.
- Basic understanding of RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) methodology.
- Experience with MS Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
- An interest in learning about SAP and Lean Principles.
