The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies is seeking a Lead Systems Architect to provide support for our esteemed government client in Honolulu, Hawai'i.

As a Senior Systems Architect, you will be tasked with the development, maintenance, and enhancement of intricate and varied systems, including but not limited to processing-intensive analytics, management of extensive data sets, and real-time systems such as Active Directory Servers, Virtual Machines, Endpoint Configuration Management servers, and Storage Area Network servers, all based on well-documented requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive initiatives to advance authentication technologies across Windows and Linux hosts, SAN fabric devices, storage arrays, and various applications.
  • Oversee the maintenance of DNS and DHCP servers.
  • Develop scripts for monitoring and managing the virtual environment utilizing PowerCLI and PowerShell.
  • Generate comprehensive documentation for cloud migration projects, including detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Monitor and adapt to evolving global and regional cloud management requirements.
  • Provide guidance to Active Directory, MECM, VM/SAN Enterprise Managers on strategies for M365, Azure, and other cloud-based solutions.
  • Implement and promote ITIL v4 best practices as necessary.
  • Design and execute methodologies for in-house software application functionality analysis, including monitoring procedures using hardware and OS monitoring tools.
  • Engage in systems engineering activities and assist in the creation of work products within Technical Process Areas aligned with the Systems Engineering Lifecycle.
  • Conduct analyses of technical alternatives for projects and offer preliminary recommendations.
  • Independently evaluate and propose alternatives for elements of project technical designs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of at least one baseline certification such as FITSP-D, GDSA, CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, CSSLP, or GSEC.
  • Advanced certifications such as CISSO, GCIA, GCSA, GCLD, GICSP, CISSP-ISSAP, or CISSP-ISSEP are preferred.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of M365 and Azure at the Operator/Administrator/Engineering level.
  • Proficient in Active Directory, MECM, VM, and SAN at the Operator/Administrator/Engineering level.
  • Ability to perform engineering activities within the Systems Engineering Lifecycle Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas.
  • Experience in developing and delivering work products in various System Engineering Lifecycle Process Areas.
  • Familiarity with the DOD System Engineering Guidebook.
  • Capability to implement and promote ITIL v4 best practices.
  • Proficient in scripting with PowerCLI and PowerShell.

Citizenship and Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must possess an active Top-Secret clearance or a SECRET clearance with the potential for upgrade.
