The Role
You will work as part of a dedicated team to support individuals in their daily lives, helping them with personal care, social activities, and other aspects of their well-being. Your patience, understanding, and compassion will be invaluable assets in this role.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including assistance with daily living tasks and promoting social interaction
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with participants and colleagues, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment
- Collaborate with the team to create personalized plans and goals for each participant, tailored to their unique needs and aspirations
- Ensure participant safety and well-being at all times, adhering to Sevita's high standards for quality care
- Communicate effectively with family members, caregivers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and support
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience in caregiving or a related field preferred
- Excellent communication, adaptability, and time-management skills essential for success in this role
- Patient, compassionate, and reliable, with a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of others
- A valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance, as occasional travel may be required
