Job Title: Boilermaker Welder

We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker Welder to join our team at R.F. MacDonald Co. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining boilers, pumps, and other pressure vessels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical manuals to comprehend and execute work
  • Collaborate with end users, contractors, and equipment engineers to ensure seamless project execution
  • Perform service work estimations and maintain accurate records of daily work progress
  • Monitor and maintain inventory, tools, and equipment
  • Inspect and test boiler systems for leaks or defects
  • Install and repair manholes, handholes, taps, tubes, valves, gauges, and feedwater connections
  • Clean pressure vessel equipment using scrapers, wire brushes, and cleaning solvents
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings to make modifications to equipment
  • Evaluate basic boiler room systems and troubleshoot problems
  • Produce detailed quotations for customer requirements
Requirements:
  • 6G welding certification
  • Knowledge of water treatment and its relation to equipment operation
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
  • Capable of pipe fitting to ASME, state, and local codes
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide 24-hour service
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position requiring 8-hour shifts, with occasional overtime and travel to other R.F. MacDonald locations and customer sites.

The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in boiler/pumps operations and handling of boiler auxiliary equipment.

We offer a competitive salary range of $55-$65 per hour, depending on experience.
