We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Breast Cancer Care Coordinator to join our team at AdventHealth Orlando. As a key member of our oncology team, you will play a vital role in supporting patients navigating the medical system and ensuring they receive timely and appropriate care.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate an evidence-based, multidisciplinary approach to cancer care throughout the care continuum.
- Navigate care for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients and as needed for patients recommended for biopsy.
- Collaborate with supervisors to ensure patients receive appropriate, timely medical and supportive services.
- Support activities related to the High Risk Breast Screening Program.
- Remain current in evidence-based cancer practice and new emerging trends in the area of cancer specialty.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Three years of experience in oncology nursing or breast care/breast cancer nursing practice.
- Current valid State of Florida or multi-state license as a Registered Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- National Certification: Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) through the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (optional).
