Job Summary

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Companion Caregiver to provide in-home care to individuals who require assistance with daily living activities. As a valued member of our team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating
  • Administer medication and follow a prescribed healthcare plan
  • Plan and follow a daily care schedule with clients, modifying care plans as prescribed by medical professionals
  • Report on any new conditions or needs that may arise
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary tasks
  • Assist with light housework and ensure the client's home is organized according to their needs
  • Transport or escort clients to medical and other appointments
  • Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, and needs

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle required (when applicable)
