Certified Medical Assistant

As a Medical Assistant at Primary Health Care, you will play a vital role in delivering quality healthcare services. Your primary duties will include:
- Providing clinical care and administrative support to patients and healthcare providers
- Facilitating patient rooming and intake processes, obtaining accurate vital signs, and performing point-of-care testing
- Administering medications, immunizations, and treatments as per written or standing orders
- Completing timely prior authorizations and referrals, and answering phone calls in a timely manner
- Preparing for exams and procedures, assisting providers as needed, and providing patient education
- Collaborating with the care team, participating in team huddles, and pre-visit planning for scheduled patients
- Completing quality controls and performing pre-cleaning and transport of contaminated instruments
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration issued by AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers Certification
- Mandatory Reporter Certification
