Apartment Leasing Consultant Responsibilities

The Apartment Leasing Consultant will be tasked with:

• Effectively leasing rental units to optimize revenue and meet occupancy targets.
• Conducting guided tours of apartments and the community for prospective clients.
• Adhering to the leasing sales process to ensure a seamless experience.
• Preparing marketing reports, applications, and lease agreements as necessary.
• Providing strategic pricing recommendations to management.
• Executing outreach marketing initiatives to generate referrals from local businesses and employers.
• Regularly assessing competitor offerings through both phone inquiries and in-person visits.
• Building professional relationships with competitors to foster communication and idea exchange.
• Contributing to marketing strategies and initiatives.
• Following up on leads received via phone, fax, and email.
• Informing potential residents about the application process and requirements.
• Processing applications promptly and accurately.
• Verifying the authenticity of all application-related documents.
• Conducting credit and background checks on applicants.
• Notifying future residents of their application status.
• Preparing new lease agreements.
• Coordinating move-in schedules.
• Conducting inspections to ensure apartments are rent-ready.
• Collecting all necessary funds for move-in.
• Assisting with various leasing office tasks as needed and covering for colleagues during absences.

Qualifications for Apartment Leasing Consultant:

1. At least 1 year of experience in leasing, sales/customer service, or administrative roles.

2. Proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet navigation.

3. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

4. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

5. Capability to handle confidential information, take initiative, and demonstrate sound judgment; must be a self-starter with the ability to identify needs.

6. Ability to recognize issues, propose solutions, and implement effective resolutions.

7. Competence in a commercial office setting and familiarity with standard office equipment, including PCs, copiers, and telephones.

8. High School Diploma or GED is required; a college degree is preferred.

Compensation: $18-18 Hourly Wage
