Job Summary

Orlando Health Medical Group is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our Neurology team at OHMG Neurology Group in Spring Lake. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with physicians, and contribute to the development of treatment plans.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and Diagnose: Conduct thorough physical and psychosocial assessments of patients, develop diagnoses, and work collaboratively with the team to formulate and implement treatment plans.
  • Provide Surgical Care: Close wounds, perform incision and drainage, debridement, and dressing, with the surgeon remaining in the immediate area.
  • Scrub and Assist: Scrub with collaborating surgeons in the operating room and perform complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as credentialed.
  • Prescribe and Implement: Diagnose medical and surgical problems, prescribe necessary treatment and services, and implement appropriate management based on laboratory results and physical assessments.
  • Document and Educate: Dictate and document patient information accurately and timely, and provide patient education and preventive health services.
  • Participate in Quality Initiatives: Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, quality initiatives, and IRB-approved clinical research/trials.
Requirements
  • Education: Nurse Practitioner (MN or MSN or DNP or PhD or DNS degree in nursing) or Physician Assistant (graduate of accredited physician assistant program).
  • Licensure/Certification: APRN license in the state of Florida (Nurse Practitioner) or maintain current physician assistant licensure in State of Florida (Physician Assistant).
  • Experience: None required.
