Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and organized individual to join our accounting team as a part-time Senior Accountant (up to 25 hours per week). This role will serve as the primary liaison with our subcontractors.


The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing communications with subcontractors related to specific projects.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Review subcontractor invoices to ensure all necessary information is accurately reported
  • Verify the accuracy of invoices
  • Cross-check pricing on subcontractor invoices against a pricing worksheet
  • Ensure that subcontractors are compensated only after ISN has received payment from the customer, adhering to the 'Pay-When-Paid' policy
  • Provide backup for regular accounts payable entries, check printing, and postings
  • Assist with special projects and provide support to the accounting team as required

Qualifications:
This position requires at least an associate degree in accounting and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the government contracting sector. While recent experience with Deltek CostPoint is preferred, it is not mandatory. Advanced Excel skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is crucial.
