Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate hand and power tools to achieve precise surface and edge quality.
  • Inspect workpieces for defects such as cracks and flawed welds.
  • Lift and position workpieces using forklifts or manually; secure them with clamps.
  • Set up and operate grinding tools to remove excess material, sharpen edges, and polish metal surfaces.
  • Perform washing, Bondo application, glazing, sanding, and masking for painting processes.
  • Assist with paint preparation, cleaning, and setup tasks.
  • Ensure finished pieces meet quality standards, including cleanliness, correct masking, and proper paint finish.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Maneuver a 28 lb. grinder for extended periods.
  • Comply with safety protocols by wearing PPE and a respirator.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years' experience with metal finishing tools and techniques.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Physical ability to handle a 28 lb. grinder for prolonged periods.
  • Must wear PPE and be able to work with a respirator when required.
