Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Endoscopy Technician 2 to join our team at Loma Linda Univ Medical Center. As a key member of our GI Lab, you will provide technical support to physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with all types of GI procedures, including cleaning and high-level disinfection of endoscopes and accessory equipment.
  • Perform unit secretarial and clerical aspects of patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse as needed.
  • Meet qualifications and competencies as identified in the department-specific Plan for Providing Care.
  • Utilize interpersonal skills to maximize excellence in customer service and safe patient care.
  • Contribute to a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse workforce and patient population.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum one year of GI experience performing complex G.I. procedures, such as Endoscopic Ultrasound, Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Band Ligation (BL), Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA), and GI bleeds in intensive care settings.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Able to read, write legibly, and speak in English with professional quality.
  • Use computer and software programs necessary to the position.
  • Troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment.
  • Communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone.
  • Think critically and work independently with minimal supervision.
