Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Power Solutions Manager to join our team at Pkaza LLC. As a Critical Power Solutions Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team and providing electrical power system solutions on a national level. This includes design, implementation, and oversight of the technical aspects of power systems, as well as strategic guidance and support for the project team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customer sites to evaluate, interview, and translate customer requirements into design documents.
  • Support the sales team by serving as the technical subject matter expert on critical power equipment and solutions.
  • Lead the technical aspects of energy storage projects from inception to completion, including design, planning, implementation, and commissioning phases.
  • Deliver power storage projects completed within the scheduled timeline, within budget, with an eye on cost-saving measures without compromising quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize power solutions that align with client requirements, industry best practices, and regulatory standards.
  • Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the battery storage field to stay on the cutting edge.
  • Identify and assess technical risks associated with energy storage projects and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential disruptions and ensure project success.
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure that energy storage solutions meet regulatory compliance, safety standards, and performance expectations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the project team.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages both professional growth and development of team members.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive technical documentation, status reports, and project updates to keep internal and external stakeholders informed about project status and performance of power solutions/energy storage projects.
  • Create, modify, install, and SOPs/MOPs for solutions implemented.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, technological advancements, and cost-effective solutions to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of power-based storage projects.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to understand project requirements, address technical concerns, and provide valuable insights to ensure the successful execution of energy storage projects.
  • Hire, manage, and mentor staff of Critical Power Engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, energy management, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 3-5+ years of project management experience; PMP or relevant certification a plus.
  • Proven experience in technical project management within the energy storage industry.
  • Demonstrate a strong track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Minimum of 3-6 years of experience working with power systems/battery storage systems.
  • UPS experience working with Emerson/Liebert/Vertiv; APC/MGE/Schneider, Eaton/Powerware/PDI, etc. a plus.
  • Battery experience working with MPI Narada, EastPenn, Enersys, etc. a plus.
  • Generator experience working with CAT, Kohler, MTU, etc. a plus.
  • Experience with design, delivery, commissioning, and implementation of battery storage and power equipment within a data center critical facility environment: UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply), Generators, Switchgears, Batteries, Battery Monitoring, STS, PDU, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of power systems/energy storage technologies, to be able to provide solutions to customers: what products to recommend, product/solution limitations, as well as market trends.
  • Experience with drafting scopes of works, MOP/SOP documentation and reports, project plans, schedules, etc.
  • Requires knowledge of equipment manufacturer's specifications (OEM).
  • Grid integration, renewable energy systems, and energy policy is highly desirable.
  • Experience in managing and motivating teams to achieve project goals and deliver high-quality results.
  • Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, software, and relevant technical applications.
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams with ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - verbal, written, presentation, and customer service.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to dynamic and fast-paced work environments.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience in the Military/Military veterans in all branches that have experience with Electrical/Mechanical is a huge plus (Navy nukes- EMN, ETN, MMNs, SeaBees, Army - Power Generation, Air Force – Power Production, Generator Techs, Maritime, Coast Guard, etc.).
