Position Overview:

Reports to: Consumer Lending Credit Analyst Officer

Key Responsibilities: As a pivotal member of the Consumer Lending team, you will be responsible for evaluating and underwriting consumer loan applications.

Essential Duties:

  1. Assess credit applications and render credit decisions in alignment with the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and relevant policies and guidelines.
  2. Swiftly underwrite and respond to loan requests from members, credit union branches, and affiliated dealers.
  3. Confirm automated lending outcomes and conduct necessary administrative follow-ups to ensure adherence to compliance, fair lending practices, and member identification protocols.
  4. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: A minimum of one year in a problem-solving role within this credit union or experience in underwriting consumer loans, requiring independent decision-making in a dynamic, high-volume environment. Familiarity with consumer lending regulations is essential. The ability to adapt to diverse situations while maintaining attention to detail is crucial. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective and diplomatic interactions.

Tenure: Positions range from Consumer Lending Credit Analyst I, II, III to Senior, categorized by performance standards set by management. Relevant work experience or completion of accelerated training may substitute for tenure requirements.

Salary Range:

  • Consumer Lending Credit Analyst Trainee: $44,803 - $66,309 annually
  • Consumer Lending Credit Analyst I: $48,387 - $73,549 annually
  • Consumer Lending Credit Analyst II: $52,258 - $81,523 annually
  • Consumer Lending Credit Analyst III: $57,484 - $90,825 annually
  • Senior Consumer Lending Credit Analyst: $63,233 - $101,804 annually

The starting salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and education, in accordance with local or state wage requirements.
