Position Overview

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Associate will play a crucial role in supporting the organization with the ISO certification processes across various facilities within a global pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This position entails conducting comprehensive risk management evaluations, facilitating ISO audits and certifications, and developing and managing ISO-related documentation, among other essential responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and enhance the company's ISO 14001, 45001, and 50001 Management Systems to ensure adherence to standards and promote ongoing improvement.
  • Perform risk assessments and execute risk management strategies to address potential safety hazards.
  • Assist in the auditing processes and ISO certification initiatives for the facility.
  • Examine relevant documentation to confirm compliance, as well as create and maintain necessary ISO-related records.
  • Facilitate facility enhancements by conducting GEMBA walks to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) with a concentration on ISO standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO workplace safety, ISO environmental systems, and ISO energy management.
  • Proficient in risk management, with the ability to collaborate across departments, communicate effectively, and execute plans efficiently.
