Your Role:

In this role, you will assist in patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, performing tasks within your authorized scope of practice. Qualifications:

Applicants should have experience in acute care, ambulatory care, or emergency medical services. A minimum of one year of recent experience in one of the following is required:

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B, AEMT, or EMT-P)
  • Enrollment in an accredited nursing program
  • Previous experience as an Emergency Department Technician or in a similar role (e.g., CMA, UAP, or in an acute care setting)

Preferred Skills:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy skills and one year of recent experience in emergency services or completion of one year of nursing school within the last two years
  • Experience with orthopedic splinting
  • EMT-B, AEMT, or EMT-P certification
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire

Core Responsibilities:

  • Execute tasks as assigned by the leadership team or Charge RN
  • Provide basic patient care, including assisting with personal needs and monitoring vital signs
  • Manage multiple patient care tasks and maintain unit operations
  • Document relevant patient information accurately using verbal, written, and electronic methods
  • Collaborate as part of the care team to support all patients within assigned areas
  • Conduct EKGs regularly
  • Ensure patient safety through 1:1 observations as per training
  • Assist in high-pressure scenarios, including code blue and trauma situations
