Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Pathologist Assistant to join our team at K.A. Recruiting. The successful candidate will work closely with the Medical Lab Director and pathologists to perform tissue grossing and oversee all aspects of laboratory gross room operations and personnel.

This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where the Pathologist Assistant will be responsible for ensuring smooth and high-quality day-to-day operations of the gross room with direction and support from the Director of Lab Operations, Medical Lab Director, and pathologists.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform tissue grossing and oversee all aspects of laboratory gross room operations and personnel
  • Work closely with the Medical Lab Director and pathologists to ensure smooth and high-quality day-to-day operations of the gross room
  • Directly supervise personnel working in the grossing area of the lab

Requirements:

  • Completion of NAACLS Accredited Pathologist Assistant Program
  • ASCP Certification or equivalent Pathologist assistant certification
  • 1+ years laboratory work experience
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
